At the crossroad of both Western and Byzantine art style the jaw dropping St. Mark's Basilica is one of its kind. It now stands in front of you empty of the usual crowds of Tourists.
Starting your journey in St. Mark's Square, your guide will transform himself into a storyteller sharing with you the secrets of the birth of an empire through trades, plundering, treasons and alliances. Then he will take you to the closed doors of the Basilica that by magic (and the help of our VIP pass) will open in front of you. Inside, 43 000 square feet of glittering gold mosaics depicting the stories from the Bible, the local life around St Mark and of course Venice. Follow your guide down the steps toward the nearly thousand year old crypts where St Mark relics used to be.
As a cherry on a cake you will be taken to see the altarpiece of the Pala d'Oro, a mesmerizing altar glittering thanks to 2,000 precious stones. In daytime it would require patience and to purchase a ticket to access it but it is included in our VIP access visit.
As many landmarks are overwhelmed by tourists this is a unique opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful gems of Venice without the crowds.
