What you'll do
Florence is the city of the powerful and renown Medici family and, for many, the birthplace of the Renaissance movement that inspired so many artists. With our priority access to the site, you will enjoy Michelangelo's David. Our local guide will show you Florence Duomo from the outside, teaching you why its dome and baptistery doors are said to have changed the course of history. About Walk's David & Duomo Tour
This three hour tour of Florence is history-packed. Skipping the line at the Florence Accademia, we take you straight to Michelangelo's masterpiece, the almighty David. There, you will learn why this larger-than-life statue is the pride of Michelangelo even before the Sistine Chapel. With Michelangelo's unfinished work in his Slaves you will learn about his sculpting methods. Time to go to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, often presented as Florence Duomo. This 1436 church is the home of one of the largest domes in the entire world and the story around its building is of epic proportion. You'll hear the whole thing as you take on the church from the jaw-dropping Piazza del Duomo. Moving from one incredible location to another, you will wander through the open air museum that is the Piazza della Signoria. As you reach the massive Palazzo Vecchio learn about the Medici; a family of bankers whose name crossed the boundaries of Italy and Renaissance followed in its wake. Stop by the Ponte Vecchio, Florence's most famous bridge for a souvenir picture of your journey.

Can I use a wheelchair on this tour?
Yes, but we require advance notice in order to accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. After booking, please contact us so that we can organize a private tour for you. If we cannot find a guide to lead you that day we'll offer you the same tour on the next availabe date or give you credit for another tour anywhere else in the world.
Do I need to bring my ID with me on this tour?
Yes! This is especially important if you have purchased a student ticket because the museums will check when we arrive.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
