Our Secret Food Tours: Austin, will introduce you to a range of authentic local cuisine.

You'll embark on an adventure through the busy streets of downtown Austin, exploring the central and historic area of the live music capital of the world. Along the way, we'll try our famous BBQ brisket, banana leaf wrapped tamales that have remained virtually unchanged since 5000 B.C., and a range of other delicious treats.

By the end of the tour, you'll have tasted some of Austin's best dishes and will have gained a better understanding of our history and culture.

• We'll begin our tour at the Fareground, Austin's beautiful, modern food hall.
• First up is some Central Texas pit-style BBQ brisket which is served with the best pinto beans on earth!
• Next, we'll have a slice of Austin Weird, one of our unique pizzas that you won't find anywhere else.
• We'll then say hello to Willie Nelson, a true Austin icon, and pass by where Austin City Limits is filmed.
• The next dish is one we've been eating in this territory since 5000 B.C, a delicious chicken tamale.
• We'll then take a stroll down Congress Ave where you'll discover some of our protected historic buildings.
• We'll move on to our Secret bite which you'll only discover on the day of your tour.
• Finally, we'll finish the tour with the city's best sweet treat, a Texas sized monster cookie.
